Temple Vitae

A project for the Burningman Community

Temple Vitae, The Temple of Life, was built and assembled on the roof of my carport. It was made from recycled canvas cut into 20 triangles, The structure is made of PVC pipe and rope. At the base of the temple lies the hand-painted Labyrinth consisting of five 20' triangles sewn together with a dual path entry, allowing for two people to enter at the same time so as to accommodate the abundant community. In addition, the inside was equipped with a sound system that looped the voice of the didgeridoo. At night, the space lit up with black light creating the perfect ambiance for a Walking Meditation.
