Domestic violence and child abuse can create a lifetime of trauma, wreaking havoc in the survivor's life. Trauma from familial, societal, and religious influence combined with sexual abuse can negatively affect the formation of one's identity; how one thinks, behaves, and one's ability to love. These traumatic experiences are what I call the  Alphabet of Secrets. By combining a powerful triad of words for each letter of the alphabet, I attempt to capture the moment of psychological impact through compelling visualization and emotion. By unpacking the secrets that can hold one captive, the victim can be set free to continue a path of healing.
